Incredibly Thorough

I’ve worked with Steve in his previous incarnation and then through Casover with my various Sophie Penn books, such as Notes of Destiny, and in his development and sage advice on the use of AI in creative writing. One other has been with my children’s short stories as well.

Steve is very thorough and a perfectionist in what he does but not to the point of being overbearing – indeed, we have had many a lighter moment and shared good humour. He advises and coaches rather than say ‘it has to be done this way – there is no other option. He works closely with authors but will leave you alone if you are, say, really good at your own proofing. He also works to extract good ideas for covers be they from existing photo-stocks or derived through AI (or a combination thereof).

His background in media and the publishing world (on both sides of the fence) creates this solid, professional base and he works carefully with new authors so that one can quickly learn and incorporate his points – in his former company, I really benefitted from this as I came ‘to the market’ with my first novels. His cover refers to ‘Casover promises a properly managed route to publication, not a guaranteed commercial outcome.’ True – but this properly managed route certainly helps make a success of a book, particularly if it lands in Kindle Amazon, Waterstone’s, and the Barnes & Noble empires.

Good luck – and enjoy working with Steve as much as I have.
