The £395 fee covers any manuscript length. The assessment does not edit your manuscript or include production and marketing.
For a £395 Manuscript Review booked during October or November 2026, the launch offer includes a separate AI-assisted proofread of the same book after revision. Submit the complete files within six months of receiving your review. You choose and apply the suggested corrections. The £145 Revised Manuscript Review remains separate. The report explains the main issues and revision priorities. After substantial revision following a Casover review, you can commission the optional £145 Follow-Up Revision Review.
Yes. Choose a single service without committing to another. Existing work is assessed before changes are recommended, so effective material can stay.
£145 for one check of the complete manuscript for spelling, typing errors, punctuation, grammar and consistency, with original wording beside suggested corrections and a practical style sheet. There is no fixed length limit. Supply a DOCX or a Google Doc we can access in full. A visual print-layout check is included when you supply a formatted PDF representing the same revision with that commission. Without a PDF, we check the manuscript text and state that layout was not assessed. A print PDF check does not verify ebook display.
Delivery is within 10 working days of confirmed payment or included-service eligibility and receipt of all complete accessible agreed files. Advertising spend, printing, proof copies, platform charges and specialist suppliers are separate. Any additional work, third-party costs and exclusions are identified in the written scope before you agree.
No. Each service stands alone, and the Diagnostic can be the right place to stop. If you want to stop work already commissioned, the cancellation terms in your agreement apply.
Your statutory rights are unaffected. Cancellation and refund arrangements, including any request to start work during an applicable cancellation period, are set out in the written agreement before you accept.

You receive the agreed reports and material in a private Notion workspace for 90 days after final delivery, plus downloadable PDFs of the principal final reports. Any included source files and third-party licences are specified in the written scope.
No. Casover charges the agreed service fee and takes no royalty share. Retailer, distributor and payment-provider charges remain separate.
You make these decisions as the publisher and retain the relevant records. Casover can review relevant publication details within the agreed scope; ISBN registration and account administration are not standard service deliverables.
AI reads and analyses the manuscript. Steve Castledine directs the work, assesses the findings, decides what reaches you and gives the report its final check. This does not include a cover-to-cover human read or a separate check of every finding against the original passage. AI may also help draft agreed launch or market-development material, and we tell you which material that is.
To understand the material, its origins and any disclosure or rights questions. Retailer rules change, so current requirements must be checked before publication. Tell us if you are unsure how AI was used.
You know your intentions and have the final say. The review gives reasons and examples, rather than rewriting your book into a house style. Accept, adapt or decline recommendations using your own judgement.
Wait for the agreed submission instructions, then provide an editable Word file or Google Doc. Scans and photographs are unsuitable. If a PDF needs conversion, you must confirm the converted text is accurate.

Book Launch & Marketing includes a book-specific marketing strategy and 90-day action plan, with weekly actions and review points around days 30, 60 and 90. It also includes an Amazon Ads Starter Campaign plan, setup guidance and testing framework where appropriate. Market Development reviews existing activity and provides targeted improvements and tests, including an Ads starter plan where justified. The author carries out the activities and pays advertising costs. Casover does not run campaigns or offer implementation work.

The 90 days in the launch action plan describe the period covered by your activities, not 90 days of campaign management by Casover. You approve the material you use, publication date and expenditure, and control release through your own accounts. You remain responsible for final content accuracy, permissions and publication decisions.

Your reports are yours to keep as PDFs, and your Notion workspace stays open for 90 days. Questions about the reports are welcome whenever they come; the project records are kept. New work is new work: a revised manuscript is covered by the £145 Follow-Up Revision Review, and anything else is quoted separately. Any further service is a separate decision.
